FC Barcelona: working group created with local authorities to prepare for return of spectators

FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) and the Generalitat de Catalunya (regional government) have created a working group whose objective will be "to analyse and validate the protocols drawn up by the club regarding the return of the public to both the Camp Nou and the Palau Blaugrana (a multi-sports hall where Barça's basketball and handball sections play), and the suitability of the dates envisaged depending on the evolution of the epidemiological situation," announced the Catalan club on 16/10/2020, following a meeting between the two entities on the specific subject of the return of spectators to the Camp Nou for the group stage of the 2020-21 Champions League.

The UEFA Executive Committee authorised on 01/10/2020 the partial return of spectators for UEFA matches (clubs and national teams), when local legislation allows it, from 07/10/2020. The number of spectators is limited to 30% of the maximum capacity of the stadium, and visiting fans are not allowed in venues until further notice.
