Germany: DAZN requests distribution of its linear channels DAZN 1 and DAZN 2

The OTT sports platform DAZN asked Mabb (German media authority of the city of Berlin and the region of Brandenburg) to distribute its linear channels DAZN 1 and DAZN 2 in Germany, according to specialised media on 16/10/2020.

This would allow DAZN to distribute its two channels to cable, satellite, DTT and IPTV operators. The DAZN application is currently only available in Germany via OTT and via the boxes of the operators Deutsche Telekom and Vodafone.

DAZN launched a satellite channel (DAZN 1) in Italy, as part of a distribution agreement with the pay TV operator Sky Italia, on 31/08/2019.
