Rugby: O2 (telecoms), main shirt sponsor of the England national teams until 2026

O2, a British telecommunications operator, has extended, through the Rugby Football Union (RFU), as the main shirt sponsor of the English national rugby team for five years (2021-2026), announced the governing body on 19/10/2020. The value of this new agreement will be £7.5m (€8.2m) per year according to British media.

O2, a partner of the England team since 1995, had previously extended its agreement with the RFU until September 2021, on 25/10/2016. O2, whose logo appears on all shirts and training kits of England's senior men's and women's teams "has pledged to equally fund the men's and women's game over the course of the partnership."

"The deal also provides O2 customers the opportunity to access Priority Tickets for all England Rugby games, 48 hours before general release. Through Priority, O2 customers will have the opportunity to access exclusive player meet and greets, 20% matchday discount on England Rugby kit at the Twickenham Stadium store and O2 Ultimate Fan - winning the chance to go on summer tour with the team," explained the RFU.
