UEFA: Vivo (smartphones), official partner of Euro 2020 (to be held in 2021) and Euro 2024

Vivo, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has become a partner of Euro 2020 (to be held in 2021) and Euro 2024 (in Germany), announced UEFA on 20/10/2020. The Chinese company thus becomes the "official smartphone provider" for both competitions.

Vivo has also become the very first presenting partner of the Euro opening and closing ceremonies "where the smartphone manufacturer will work with UEFA in order to create a memorable experience for the millions of viewers around the world, who will watch the tournament unfold," said the European body.

Vivo thus joins the current Euro 2020 partners: Alipay (payment solutions, Alibaba Group, CHN), Booking.com (NED), Coca Cola (The Coca-Cola Company, USA), FedEx (courier, USA), Heineken (beer, NED), Hisense (electronics, CHN), Socar (Azerbaijan's national oil company), Takeaway.com (meal delivery service, NED) and Volkswagen (car manufacturer, GER).

Vivo is also a partner of three competitions organised by FIFA: the 2018 World Cup, the 2022 World Cup and the 2017 Confederations Cup. Vivo's donation to FIFA amounts to €400m.
