England: faced with reform, the EFL considers betting sponsorship to be vital (£40m/year)

"The association between football and the gambling sector is long-standing, with a collaborative, evidence-based approach to preventing gambling harms of much greater benefit than that of a blanket ban of any kind," said the English Football League on 25/10/2020, as the British Government prepares to overhaul "The 2005 Gambling Act" a law governing gambling.
