European Top 5: AC Milan with the youngest team in 2020-21, followed by three Ligue 1 clubs (CIES)

AC Milan (Serie A TIM) is the club with the youngest team line-up on average since the start of the 2020-21 season among the Top 5 European leagues, according to the CIES Football Observatory's Weekly Post published on 26/10/2020.

With an average age of 24.5, AC Milan is ahead of three Ligue 1 clubs Uber Eats - AS Monaco FC (24.7), Stade de Reims (24.8) and AS Saint-Etienne (24.8) - as well as one German club, VfB Stuttgart (Bundesliga, 24.9). These five clubs are the only ones to compose their teams with players who are on average under 25 years old.

By contrast, Parma Calcio 1913 (Serie A TIM, 29.7 years of age) is the club with the oldest average age line-up since the start of the season, ahead of two LaLiga Santander clubs: SD Huesca (29.6) and Cádiz CF (29.4).
