Champions League: Trophy winner Real Madrid also top revenues with €57.8m

Real Madrid (Liga BBVA) will receive €57.8m thanks to their victory in the 2013-14 Champions League final, beating Atlético Madrid (Liga BBVA) 4-1 after extra time on 24/05/2014 at Luz Stadium in Lisbon, Portugal.

Following the final -- the first-ever in the history of European Cups to be played between two clubs from the same city -- News Tank has made its final update to the revenue table showing how much participating clubs will receive from UEFA (Union of European Football Associations), which organises of the competition. Real Madrid, which won the competition for the 10^th time in their history (six Champions Cups and four League of Champions Cups), finished top in the revenue rankings for 2013-14.

Atlético were playing their 2^nd final forty years after they lost the Champions Cup against Bayern Munich (1-1, 15/05/1974 at the Stade Roi Beaudoin, Brussels, then 0-4 in a match of support two days later), finished 3^rd in revenues for 2013-14, with €50.4m.
