Spain: LaLiga, 12^th most valuable Spanish brand in 2020 according to the BrandZ survey (€1.32bn)

LaLiga is the 12^th most valuable Spanish brand in 2020 (€1.32bn) according to the BrandZ survey carried out by WPP (a British advertising group) and Kantar (a group specialised in data, analysis and consultancy), in its annual report "Top 30 Most Valuable Spanish Brands" published on 22/10/2020. LaLiga was not in this Top 30 in 2019.

"Uniting Spain's first and second division professional football teams, LaLiga has recorded strong financial growth and attracted new global audiences due to its innovation and diversification. Expansion of its social networks in a large number of countries has allowed LaLiga to exceed 100 million followers, and it has also increased promotional efforts across its global network," states the survey in which LaLiga is the only sports brand to feature.

The top brand in the ranking is Zara, valued at €18.56bn. Movistar, a subsidiary of the Telefonica group, which broadcasts 9 of the 10 LaLiga Santander games per matchday over the 2019-2022 cycle, is second with a valuation of €14.09bn.
