Bundesliga: Umbro, equipment supplier of Werder Bremen since 2018-19, extends until end of 2024-25

Umbro, an English brand belonging to the American company Iconix Brand Group, has extended its contract as the equipment supplier of Sport Verein Werder Bremen (Bundesliga) for an additional two seasons (2023-2025) from the initial agreement (2018-2023), announced the club on 27/10/2020. The partnership covers all of Werder Bremen's teams.

While the agreement for the 2018-2023 cycle was valued at €3.5m per season, the new agreement is reported to be worth "much more than €3.5m" according to German media. In 2018-19, Umbro succeeded Nike, the club's equipment supplier for the 2009-2018 cycle.

In Germany, Umbro is also the equipment supplier of FC Schalke 04 (Bundesliga) for the 2017-2021 cycle, while the brand's agreement with 1. Fußball Club Nürnberg (2.Bundesliga) is due to expire at the end of 2020-21 and make way for adidas from 2021-22.
