Inter Milan: sponsorship revenue (€69.4m) down 46.7% at the end of the 2019-20 financial year

FC Internazionale Milano posted a decrease of €61m in sponsorship revenue, from €130.5m (2018-19) to €69.4m (-46.7%) at the end of the 2019-20 financial year which ended on 30/06/2020, announced the club on 28/10/2020.

Most of this decline is due to the non-renewal of regional partners in China (-€42.9m), and the renegotiation of partnership agreements and naming rights (-€9.9m).

Sponsorship revenue represents 30.2% of Inter Milan's 2019-20 turnover (€230m). This revenue stream can be broken down as follows:
• 52.3% from regional sponsors and naming rights (€36.3m in total, versus €89.1m in 2018-19, down 59% from one season to the next); 
• 30.5% from main shirt sponsor Pirelli and equipment supplier Nike (€21.3m in total, versus €29.1m in 2018-19, -26.8% versus the previous season);
• 17.2% from European and global sponsors (€12m in total, versus €12.3m in 2018-20, a similar amount compared with the previous season).
