Manchester United FC: club ready to host 23,500 spectators at Old Trafford when government allows

"Manchester United FC (Premier League) has declared its readiness to welcome back fans to Old Trafford (74,879 capacity) as soon as the UK government gives the green light for stadiums to reopen. No fans have been allowed inside the Theatre of Dreams since our 2-0 victory in the Manchester derby (Matchday 29 of the 2019-20 Premier League season, 07/03/2020) last March because of the pandemic," announced the English club on 28/10/2020.

Originally scheduled for October 2020, the reopening of Premier League stadiums to fans has been postponed by the British government due to a resurgence of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country. No date for a possible reopening has been announced by the British authorities, despite the fact that all Premier League matches have been played behind closed doors since the start of the 2020-21 season.
