Liga NOS: Luís Filipe Vieira re-elected as president of SL Benfica "for a sixth mandate" until 2024

Luís Filipe Vieira, has been re-elected as president of SL Benfica (Liga NOS) "for a sixth mandate" and a "four-year period 2020-2024" by the club's members during the club's general electoral meeting on 28/10/2020. Members of SL Benfica also elected the club's governing bodies for the same period (see below).

"The electoral meeting took place in the 25 polling places in mainland Portugal (08:00-22:00 CET), it was the most participated ever," said the Portuguese club.

Luís Filipe Vieira, a Portuguese real estate businessman, is SL Benfica's 33^rd president and has occupied the role since 2003. Vieira was named president succeeding Manuel Vilarinho (president since 2000) after gaining 90.47% of the votes in the club's presidential election on 31/10/2003 and has since served five mandates (2003-2006, 2006-2009, 2009-2012, 2012-2016, 2016-2020).
