French lockdown: competitions authorized for high level athletes and professionals (R. Maracineanu)

"Top athletes and professional athletes will be able to continue to train. And they will also be able to continue to compete since travel for professional reasons is authorized," indicated Roxana Maracineanu, French Minister Delegate of Sport, to the National Assembly on 28/10/2020.

"The coming weeks will be tough economically, but also humanely. This is why I wanted to confirm to you this evening that the continuity of sport which is practiced as a profession is guaranteed today," underlined the Minister on the occasion of the examination of the State budget for sport.

"I decided that it was necessary to begin from Friday (30/10/2020) and at least until (Tuesday) 01/12/2020 the lockdown, which stopped the virus (in the spring). The whole national territory is concerned, with adaptations only for the overseas departments and territories," announcesd Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, on 28/10/2020.
