Spain: RFEF general assembly approves a 2021 provisional budget of €357.4m (+59%) for 2021

The ordinary general assembly of the Real Federacion Espanola de Futbol (RFEF) has approved a provisional budget of €357.4m for the financial year 2021, according to the Spanish Federation at the end of the assembly, which took place via videoconference on 26/10/2020.

This provisional budget is the largest in the history of the RFEF and is 59% higher than the budget for 2020 (€224.8m). In particular, the Spanish Federation expects a sharp increase in revenue through the exploitation of TV rights and sponsorship of the Copa Del Rey and the Supercopa de España (to be played in Saudi Arabia in January 2021).

The RFEF's general assembly also approved the 2019 financial accounts, which show a profit of €592,030 (compared with €54,667 in 2018).
