With a brand valuation of €1.419bn, Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) are ranked first place in the "Football Annual 2020" ranking established by the American company Brand Finance, a specialist in the economic valuation of brands, versus 14^th for FC Internazionale Milano (Serie A TIM), as the two clubs prepare to face each other behind closed doors on Matchday 3 of group B of the 2020-21 Champions League at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stéfano (Madrid, ESP), on Tuesday 03/11/2020 (kick-off at 21:00 CET).

In terms of revenues, Inter Milan posted €160m in TV rights revenue in 2019-20 (versus €160.3m in 2018-19), as well as €70m in sponsorship revenue (versus €130.7m in 2018-19,-46%). The club, which posted a total turnover (excluding transfers) of €364.6m in 2018-19, has not yet announced its remaining revenues for the previous financial year, notably in terms of ticket revenue. Meanwhile, the reigning Spanish champions have not yet publicly presented their 2019-20 accounts (turnover 2018-19: €757.3m).
