LaLiga Santander: Villarreal CF to open an academy in Mexico City (MEX), its first in Latin America

Villarreal CF (LaLiga Santander) will open an academy in Mexico City, the capital of Mexico, its first in a Latin American country, announced the club on 30/10/2020.

"Villarreal CD Mexico Academy will have five bases throughout Mexico City. The boys and girls from Villarreal CD Mexico Academy will train under Villarreal CF's methodology, and the club will work continuously with the coaching staff at the academy to help the players grow with a focus on players' individual development," said the Spanish club.

The academy in Mexico City will be the 11^th permanent project set up by Villarreal, after those in Annandale, Lincoln, Fayetteville, New York, Fort Worth, Las Vegas (USA), Montreal (Canada), Melbourne (Australia), San Juan (Puerto Rico) and Halmstad (Sweden).
