CAF: Ahmad Ahmad convalescent (Covid-19), Constant Omari interim president until 30/11/2020

The 1^st vice-president Constant Omari (CGO) will act as interim head of the executive management of CAF until 11/30/2020, announces the African Confederation on 11/13/2020.

"On the recommendations of his doctors, the president of CAF, Ahmad Ahmad (MAD), who tested positive for the coronavirus (Covid-19) on 30/10/2020, is currently observing a period of convalescence. This should last at least 20 days during which he is called upon to limit his efforts, in order to fully recover his energy," explained CAF.

"This impediment temporarily makes it difficult for the normal pursuit of activities related to a function which necessitates the full enjoyment of one's health. This decision applies by virtue of the provisions of Article 24 paragraph 8 of the Statutes, which provide that in the event of 'absence of the president or his temporary inability to assume his function, he is replaced by the 1^st vice-president'," added the African body based in Cairo (EGY).
