Al-Yousef Obaidly (Qatar) was named president of the pay-TV channel beIN Sports France on 27/05/2014. He had been delegate general director of the sports channel since its launch in France, on 01/06/2012.

He is replacing Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, who remains president and CEO of beIN Media Group. Yousef Al-Obaidly will also retain his position as deputy director general of beIN Media Group.

A graduate of the University of Seattle (USA), Yousef Al-Obaidly spent most of his career in the group Al Jazeera Sport, which became beIN Media Group. In recent years, he oversaw the launches of beIN Sports in France, the United States (August 2012), and Asia (since July 2013).

Yousef Al-Obaidly is also the general secretary of the Qatari Tennis Federation, a member of the boards of QSI (Qatar Sports Investments), of Paris Saint-Germain FC (League 1) and of Paris Saint-Germain Handball Club (French D1).
