LaLiga Santander: Villarreal CF launches an academy in Sydney, its second in Australia

Villarreal CF (LaLiga Santander) have launched an academy in Sydney, its second in Australia after a first opened in Melbourne in February 2019, announced the club on 13/11/2020.

"Through its international expansion project, Villarreal CF is therefore strengthening its presence in Australia. Villarreal Sydney Academy, based in the St Ives suburb, will open its doors to boys and girls aged eight to 14," added the Spanish club, which will be holding an "ID clinic" (scouting day) on 12/12/2020.

"Currently Villarreal have a number of academies and affiliated schools around the world. As well as in Melbourne and in Sydney, there are some in other countries such as the USA, Sweden, Japan, China, Puerto Rico, South Korea, Canada and Mexico (see below)," said the club.
