France/E. Macron: "€400m in additional aid for the sport sector" (Ministry in Charge of Sport)

"€400m in additional aid for sport", this is what the Ministry in Charge of Sports has said it had obtained from the meeting (face-to-face and by video-conference) with Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, with actors throughout the French sport sector, on 17/11/2020.

"Aware of the social role of sport and of the major difficulties experienced by the sector due to the health crisis, the President of the Republic has announced new, highly anticipated measures," explains the Sport ministry, which quotes in particular:
• Massive help in obtaining a license in the form of a "Pass'Sport" from 2021: €100m.
• Ticket office compensation mechanism for clubs and sports event organizers: €110m.
• Exemption from employer social contributions and assistance with the payment of social contributions to be paid in October, November and December 2020: €105m.

"The Head of State would like the return of minors to their local sports associations to be effective in December," also indicates the Ministry in Charge of Sport.
