Marketing: Qatar Airways unveils a Boeing 777 painted in 2022 World Cup colours

Qatar Airways has activated its partnership with FIFA and has unveiled an aircraft painted in the colours of the 2022 World Cup organised in Qatar, a competition for which the Qatari airline company is a partner, on 20/11/2020.

To mark the occasion, the Boeing 777 will fly from Doha (the capital of Qatar) to Zurich in Switzerland, where the FIFA headquarters have been located since 1932, on Saturday 21/11/2020, two years to the day before the opening match of the 2022 World Cup (scheduled from 21/11 to 18/12/2022). "The inaugural route of the bespoke aircraft further reiterates the airline’s commitment to the FIFA partnership by flying to the home of FIFA in Switzerland on this significant date," said Qatar Airways.

"The bespoke aircraft, which features distinctive FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 branding was hand-painted to commemorate the airline's partnership with FIFA. More aircraft in the Qatar Airways fleet will feature the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 livery and will visit several destinations in the network," added the airline company.
