Tottenham Hotspur FC: a turnover of £402.4m (-12.7%) and net loss of £63.9m in 2019-20

Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League) has posted a turnover of £402.4m (€441m as of 30/06/2020) for the financial year 2020 (from 01/07/2019 to 30/06/2020), down 12.7% compared versus 2019 (a record £460.7m/€513.9m on 30/06/2019), announced the English club on 23/11/2020. Tottenham posted a net loss of £63.9m (-€70.1m, versus a net profit of £68.6m/€76.5m in 2019).

"Reduced revenues were predominantly driven by lower Champions League receipts (the club was eliminated in the Round of 16, after reaching the final in 2018-19) and the extension of the season beyond the year end (the Premier League ended on 26/07/2020)," explained the London cub, whose broadcasting revenue fell by 40% (to £146.4m/€160.4m).

Having started the 2019-20 season in its new stadium, which it owns (after having played the majority of its matches at Wembley in 2018-19) has, however, enabled Tottenham to increase matchday and catering revenues compared to the previous season, despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
