Stadiums in the United Kingdom will be able to accommodate up to 50% of their capacity, with a limit set at 4,000 or 2,000 spectators depending on local restrictions, in the regions less affected by the Coronavirus pandemic (Tiers 1 and 2), after the end of lockdown in the country set for Wednesday 02/12/2020, according to the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on 23/11/2020.

In the areas most affected by Covid-19 (Tier 3), Premier League and EFL matches will continue to be played behind closed doors.

"Fans have been greatly missed at Premier League matches and therefore we welcome the Prime Minister's announcement today regarding the return of supporters for the first time since March (2020), albeit at small numbers," said the English League in a statement on 23/11/2020.
