UEFA: Real Madrid subject to partial stadium closure for racist behaviour by some of their fans

The Control and Disciplinary Body of UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) sentenced Real Madrid (Liga BBVA, ESP) to a partial stadium closure on 30/05/2014, to take place at their next European home match.

Real Madrid were punished for racist chanting by some of their supporters in the match against Bayern Munich (1-0, away semi-final, Champions League) on 23/04/2014. Sectors 120 and 122 of Santiago Bernabeu Stadium (Madrid) will be closed at the next home match of the Champions League (group stage, 2014-15).

The Madrid club, winner of the 2013-14 Champions League, must also display a banner reading "No to racism" in these two sectors.
