esports: Epic Games expands partnership with NFL and launches outfits for Fortnite and Rocket League

Epic Games, an American video game publisher notably of the "free to play" (free access) game Fortnite, has extended its partnership with the National Football League from 2020-21, on 23/11/2020. "This expanded partnership between the NFL and Epic paves the way for future collaborations that will reach a global gaming audience," said the NFL, which has been a partner of Epic Games since 05/11/2018.

New outfits bearing the image of the 32 NFL teams will be available within the Fortnite game from 25/11/2020. These new outfits worn by the Fortnite characters will also be available later on Rocket League - a video game published by Psyonix, which was acquired by Epic Games on 02/05/2019. For the launch of the partnership between the publisher and the North American League in 2018-19, Epic Games had launched a similar operation by offering players the opportunity to purchase eight "skins" (outfits) for the game's characters representing each of the 32 franchises.
