European Top 5: French expatriate players most represented among each of the 4 other leagues (CIES)

French football players represent the largest expatriate contingent in the Premier League (47 players), Bundesliga (36), Serie A TIM (35) and LaLiga Santander (25), according to the CIES Football Observatory's Weekly Post, published on 23/11/2020.

Since the start of the 2020-21 season, 148 French players have played at least one match in one of the four European Top 5 championships, making France the country with the most expatriate players in the Top 5, ahead of Brazil (108) and Argentina (80), without including the Ligue 1 Uber Eats.

In the Ligue 1 Uber Eats, Brazilians represent the largest number of foreign players (21), ahead of Senegalese (14) and Portuguese (13) players.
