USA: MLS play-off matches broadcast with enhanced data in "video game" mode

Major League Soccer is offering, for the broadcasting of its play-off matches, ("2020 Audi Cup Playoffs", from 20/11 to 12/12/2020) enhanced data in "video game" mode (radar mini-map, player names, etc.), announced the North American League on 19/11/2020. This device is offered on the various media platforms (site and application) of broadcasters Fox Sports and ESPN in second screen mode.

“With this device, fans will be able to experience real-time video game elements on a second screen. Each player's placement will be displayed at the top of the screen using a“ mini-map ”(“ mini map ”) of the field. This data will be used to identify players in real time and will indicate the speed of players' runs and strikes throughout a match,” explains the MLS.

"These streams are part of a broader MLS initiative to create enhanced data feeds from all MLS matches as part of a partnership with Second Spectrum (second screen tech) that was first announced in March, with the goal of providing enhanced data from every match as well as advanced video tools for use by all MLS coaching staffs," said…
