Qatar 2022/European qualifiers: the six pots for the draw on 07/12/2020 decided

Belgium, France, England, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands are the ten teams that make up the Top 10 seeded teams in Pot 1 of the draw for the European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, announced FIFA on 27/11/2022.

These are the Top 10 European countries in the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking published on 26/11/2020. This ranking placed the 55 European teams in six pots (five of 10 teams and one of 5) of the draw (see below).

The objective of the next draw, which will be held as a virtual event at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich (SUI) on Monday 07/12/2020 from 18:00 CET, will be to divide these 55 teams into five groups of six teams (30) and five groups of five (25) in order for 13 of them to qualify for the final phase of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar (the top 10 from each group and the other three via play-offs, see below).
