Bundesliga: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 18 clubs (December 2020)

The 18 clubs competing in the 2020-21 Bundesliga season have nearly 138 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/12/2020. The Bundesliga is the fourth most popular Top 5 league on these three social networks combined, behind the Premier League, LaLiga Santander and the Serie A TIM, with an average of 7.6 million fans per club.

FC Bayern Munich is the most-popular German club with nearly 81 million fans, far ahead of Borussia Dortmund which has nearly 31 million. FC Schalke 04 completes the Bundesliga podium with nearly 4.6 million fans.

The Bavarian club posted the best growth in absolute value on each of the three social networks with an additional 704,420 fans in total, including 52% of them via Instagram.

RB Leipzig and Borussia Mönchengladbach posted the best percentage growth among the Bundesliga clubs during the month of November 2020 on Instagram (+4.0%) and Facebook (+1.7%) respectively, while Bayern Munich posted the best growth on Twitter (+1.0%).
