RC Celta: opening of the first part of the club's new sports complex

RC Celta (LaLiga Santander) has partially opened its new sports complex, the "Cidade Deportiva Afoutez" (Afoutez Sports City in English), located in the municipality of Mos (Galicia, ESP), 10km southwest of Vigo, on 28/11/2020.

"This first phase of the project already has three soccer fields and a technical area and interior installations with changing rooms, gymnasium, physiotherapy room, offices, press room, television set, large dining room, etc.," said RC Celta. The inauguration of this area, which will be used by the club's professional team as well as some youth teams, comes almost exactly one year to the day after the official laying of the project's foundation stone on 30/11/2019.

The final delivery of the club's sports complex, which will cover a total of 237,000 sqm, was initially scheduled for July 2020, but will now be completed in 2021. Once completed, it will include nine football pitches, a stadium for the reserve team with a capacity of 4,000 spectators, as well as areas for other sports, sporting and non-sporting leisure activities, such as nature activities…
