Council of Europe: parliamentary hearing on solidarity in football on Friday 04/12/2020

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on football and the need for greater financial solidarity within the sport will be the topics addressed by leaders of the European professional football world at a hearing of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) to be held by videoconference on Friday 04/12/2020, from 09:30 to 13:00 CET.

"Giving players and fans a greater say in running the sport, as well as protecting young players from abuse and supporting their personal development, will also be discussed at the hearing on 'Football governance: business and values', organised by the Committee on Culture, Science, Education and Media of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE)," announced the Council of Europe on 30/11/2020.

FIFA, UEFA, European Leagues, ECA and FIFPro will be represented, as well as three European fan associations. The session will also be attended by Council of Europe officials responsible for sport as well as parliamentarians from across the continent.
