Germany: adoption of the 2021-22 general calendar, Bundesliga season from 13/08/2021 to 14/05/2022

The 2021-22 Bundesliga season will begin on 13/08/2021 and end on 14/05/2022, while the 2.Bundesliga season will begin on 23/07/2021 and end on 15/05/2022, these are the dates provided for in the general calendar for the 2021-22 season adopted by the the DFB executive committee on 04/12/2020.

After Bundesliga Matchdays 17 and 18 and Matchday 18 of the 2.Bundesliga (from 17 to 19/12/2021), the two German professional championships will be entitled to a winter break which will last until 07/01/2022 for the first division and until 14/01/2022 for the second. Before this break, the Bundesliga will have played its only weekday matchday (Matchday 16) on Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15/12/2021.

The 2021-22 DFB-Pokal will start from 06 to 09/08/2021.
• Second round on 26 and 27/10/2021.
• Third round on 18 and 19/01/2022.
• Quarterfinals on 01 and 02/03/2022.
• Semi-finals on 19 and 20/04/2022.
• Final at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin on 21/05/2022.
