Premier League: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 20 clubs (December 2020)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2020-21 Premier League season have more than 541 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/12/2020. This total enables the Premier League to maintain its position as the most popular Top 5 European league, all three social networks combined, ahead of LaLiga Santander, with an average of 27 million fans per club.

Manchester United FC are the most popular English club with over 135 million fans, followed by Chelsea FC, with more than 88 million and Liverpool FC, with nearly 82 million.

Tottenham Hotspur FC were the club that posted the best increase in absolute value across the three social networks during the month of November 2020 with 891,667 additional fans, including 60% of them on Instagram alone.

Sheffield United FC posted the best percentage growth on Facebook (+6.3%), while Wolverhampton Wanderers FC posted the best growth on both Instagram (+4.0) and Twitter (+3.5%) among the Premier clubs League over the period.
