France: €107m in ticketing compensation, including €48m for football clubs and €40m for rugby clubs

€48m for football clubs (44.9%), €40m for rugby clubs (37.4%), and €4m in total for basketball, handball, volleyball, and ice hockey clubs (3.7%), plus €15m for the organizers of major sporting events (14%) is the distribution, "according to the estimates gathered to date by the Ministry in Charge of Sport" for the €107m of funds in compensation for ticketing losses, announced Jean-Michel Blanquer, French Minister of National Education, Youth and Sports, and Roxana Maracineanu, Minister Delegate in Charge of Sport, on 04/12/2020.

The aid ceiling has been set at €5m per structure/entity, specified the two ministers.

"The objective is to make a first payment in December 2020, then to pay the balance in 2021" (J-M Blanquer and R. Maracineanu, Ministers)
