Champions League: match stopped "following racist comments from the 4^th referee" (Paris SG)

"The match between Paris Saint-Germain and Istanbul Basaksehir, on Tuesday 12/08/2020, for the 6^th and final matchday of the group stage of the Champions League, was interrupted after 13 minutes of play (0-0) following racist remarks on the part of the 4^th referee towards a member of the staff of the Basaksehir club. The match will be replayed on Wednesday (09/1/2020) at 18:55 CET," stated Paris Saint-Germain on 09/12/2020.

Sebastian Coltescu (ROU), the 4^th referee, said he used the term "Negru" ("Black" in Romanian) to designate Achille Webo, former Cameroonian international and now assistant coach of Istanbul Basaksehir, accusing the latter of criticizing too vehemently the refereeing of Ovidiu Hategan (ROU).

"Any form of racism goes against the values conveyed by Paris Saint-Germain, its president, its staff and its players.
