Sevilla FC: a turnover of €145.2m (+7.3%) and net profit of €1.2m in 2019-20

Sevilla FC (LaLiga Santander) have posted a turnover (excluding capital gains on player transfers) of €145.2m for the 2019-20 financial year (from 01/07/2019 to 30/06/2020), up 7.3% versus the previous year (€135.4m), announced the Spanish club at its general assembly on 04/12/2020.

This increase in revenue is almost exclusively due to the club's performance in the Europa League, which it won after being eliminated in the Round of 16 during the 2018-19 season (€14m in additional revenue in 2019-20). It should be noted that the club has decided to allocate the revenue from domestic and UEFA TV rights related to matches played after the end of the financial year (five league matches in July and four Europa League matches in August) within its 2019-20 turnover. "Other clubs have done the same and after consulting LaLiga and UEFA, we were told that it was our right," explained José Maria Cruz, CEO of the Andalusian club, regarding the revenue which amounts to €11.7m. Sevilla FC also posted a net profit of €1.2m in 2019-20 (versus €2.5m in 2018-19).
