Euro 2024: UEFA and the DFB create a joint venture, Philipp Lahm appointed director

Euro 2024 GmbH (Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung/limited liability company) is the name of the joint venture founded by the DFB and UEFA in Frankfurt am Main (Hesse, GER) on 10/12/2020.

The purpose of this new structure, based in Frankfurt, is the organisation of Euro 2024, entrusted to the German Football Association on 27/09/2018.

Shareholders of the joint venture:
• DFB Euro GmbH: DFB subsidiary created in June 2019 to organise major events such as the four Euro 2020 matches in Munich and to prepare for Euro 2024.
• UEFA Events SA: a company created by UEFA on 15/09/2009, "fully owned by UEFA and responsible for marketing and event organisation."

Former German international defender "Philipp Lahm, ambassador of the successful Euro bid and DFB Euro GmbH director, will act as tournament director on the joint venture's behalf," announced UEFA and the DFB on 10/12/2020.
