Brazil 2014: FIFA Fan Fests being set up in 12 host cities

Work has begun on setting up the FIFA Fan Fests in the 12 host cities for the World Cup in Brazil (from 12/06 to 13/07/2014), FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) said on 01/06/2014.

The cities, which are responsible for the organisation and management of these fan zones, have taken delivery on the technical infrastructure provided by FIFA. They have until 12/06/2014, the date of the inauguration of the Fan Fests, to install the stages, large screens, lighting and sound.

In addition to broadcasting the matches on giant screens, the 12 Fan Fests will offer concerts organised by the Brazilian TV channel Globo (official broadcaster of the 2014 World Cup) and activities promoting FIFA's official partners.
