LFP: "A first stage of changes to the statutes" voted for by the General Assembly on 10/12/2020

Clarification of the roles of the President (Vincent Labrune since 10/09/2020) and of the CEO (Arnaud Rouger since 17/09/2020); possibility of creating a commercial subsidiary or of taking stakes in a company related to the objectives of the LFP, these are two of the modifications to the statutes of the French Professional Football League voted for by the General Assembly of the LFP on 10/12/2020, after having been validated by the Bureau, then by the League's board of directors.

Other changes adopted:
• "The integration of a system of weighting of votes at the General Assembly to elect the representatives of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 so that each division has a greater weight in choosing its own representatives on the board of directors of the LFP .
• The update linked to the planned merger of the two club unions (Primiere Ligue and UCPF) in the composition of the board of directors and the allocation of sponsorship, for example. This provision will come into force subject to the actual merger taking place," said the French League.
