World Leagues Forum/FIFPro: cooperation agreement "to develop more sustainable governance"

"The World Leagues Forum (WLF), which represents professional leagues at world level and FIFPro, which represents the football players, have signed a cooperation agreement in order to develop more sustainable and effective professional football governance by collaborating on a wide range of issues," announced the bodies on 14/12/2020.

"Under the three-year accord, the WLF and FIFPro will strengthen existing ties with a view to building a common vision for the future of the game, in which leagues and players unions work closely together. The professional football landscape is rapidly developing across the world and the same can be said of the working environment in which professional football players and leagues, as well as their member clubs, are operating," explained the two organizations, which between them represent both the employers (WLF) and the employees (FIFPro).
