LFP TV rights: a total of €243m paid by Mediapro; agreement to be examined in court on 17/12/2020

The Chinese-Spanish audiovisual group Mediapro will pay a total of €243.6m (€143.6m already paid in August 2020 + €64m upon validation of the termination agreement + €36m before 30/06/2021) according to the terms the agreement with the LFP, which will waive the right to any legal action regarding the domestic broadcasting rights to Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Ligue 2 BKT, concluded on 12/11/2020. This agreement must be validated by the Nanterre (Greater Paris) commercial court, which will study it on Thursday 17/12/2020 and render its decision a few days later, according to the French sport media L'Équipe.

The Téléfoot channel will continue to broadcast Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Ligue 2 BKT at least until 23/12/2020 (Matchday 17). The LFP has obtained from the channel that it may continue to broadcast the matches at the latest until 31/01/2021, until the French League reaches an agreement with one or more broadcasters, according to the RMC Sport website.
