Digital: the OneFootball platform acquires Dugout and welcomes 10 shareholder clubs

Onefootball, a German football media platform, has acquired Dugout, a British social and digital football platform, on 15/12/2020. OneFootball has raised €50m to help finance the deal, as well as future investments, according to Lucas von Cranach, CEO and founder of the platform, who spoke to the US financial media Bloomberg company on 15/12/2020.

"The acquisition will put fans at the heart of the football ecosystem. It will bring Dugout's global video expertise, network and distribution to OneFootball, uniting the businesses to create the most comprehensive content offering. This includes live OTT streaming, highlights, behind-the-scenes and archive video content, news, scores and statistics," said OneFootball, which has been broadcasting the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 Uber Eats in Brazil for free since this season (since 31/10/2020 for Ligue 1).

OneFootball's shareholder base now includes the founding clubs of Dugout - Arsenal FC (Premier League), FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander), FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga), Chelsea FC (Premier League), Juventus FC (Serie A TIM), Liverpool FC…
