Twitch: FC Barcelona launches a channel ahead of match versus Real Sociedad on 16/12/2020

FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) has launched its own official channel on the video game streaming platform Twitch on 16/12/2020 on the occasion of the match versus Real Sociedad de Futbol (LaLiga Santander, 21:00 CET), according to the club on 15/12/2020. The club will share content featuring the men's first team, its esports team as well as "unique entertainment formats" via its Twitch channel.

On the same day as the match versus Real Sociedad, FC Barcelona will offer a programme hosted by a Twitch streamer (Anton Rinas, alias 'ViscaBarca'). The programme will include live watch commentary on the match as well as post-match coverage.

"By moving into Twitch, the club is intensifying its commitment to the creation of entertainment content within the framework of its digital strategy, where it is already a leading force in terms of both followers and engagement, with more than 370 million followers on social networks and 1.370 billion interactions in the 2019-20 season, more than any other sports club in the world," said Barça.
