Italy: PlayStation 5 (Sony) title sponsor of the 2020-21 Supercoppa Italiana "PS5 Supercup"

PlayStation 5 (PS5), the video game console from Sony Interactive Entertainment marketed in Europe since 19/11/2020, has acquired the naming rights for the Supercoppa Italiana (Italian Supercup) for 2020-21, announced the Lega Serie A, the organising body of the competition, on 16/12/2020.

The 33^rd edition of the competition, which will pit Juventus FC (2019-20 Serie A champions) versus SSC Napoli (2019-20 Coppa Italia winners) at the Mapei Stadium - Città del Tricolore (in Reggio Emilia, ITA) on 20/01/2021, will be known as the "PS5 Supercup".

PlayStation is partner and the "official console" of the eSerie A TIM, the Lega Serie A's esports competition presented on 05/02/2020.

PlayStation succeeds The Coca-Cola Company (beverages), title sponsor of the 2019-20 "Coca-Cola Supercup" competition, which was played at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) on 22/12/2019, with Juventus FC - SS Lazio (1-3). Coca-Cola also held the naming rights to the 2019-20 Coppa Italia final.
