Switzerland: Swisscom (blue Entertainment AG) acquires SFL domestic TV rights for 2021-2025

blue Entertainment AG (formerly CT Cinetrade AG) has extended the domestic broadcasting rights to the Swiss first and second divisions - the Raiffeisen Super League (RSL) and the Brack.ch Challenge League respectively - for four years from the 2021-22 season, according to the SFL on 18/12/2020.

"In addition to all Super League matches being broadcast on the pay-TV channel blue Sports (formerly Teleclub), one Super League game per matchday will continue to be broadcast free-to-air on the SRG SSR (Swiss public television) channels. In the Challenge League, 36 matches per season will continue to be offered on free-to-air channels. Negotiations with possible sub-licensees for the second division matches are currently underway," explained the SFL.

CT Cinetrade, whose parent company is Swisscom, had previously extended these same TV rights for four years from the 2017-18 season, on 05/10/2016. Cinetrade broadcasts 180 RSL matches and the Monday evening Challenge League match via its blue Sports channels.
