Premier League: Food distributor Bidvest to remain Sunderland shirt sponsor for 2014-15

South African food distributor Bidvest, through its UK subsidiary BFS Group, will remain the shirt sponsor for Sunderland (Premier League) in 2014-15, the club announced on 04/06/2014.

Bidvest has been on Sunderland's shirts since the 2012-13 season. The contract is estimated at €6m annually. The group is also on stadium advertising, has rights to use the club's image, and hospitality space at the Stadium of Light (capacity 48,300).

"We want to continue to increase our international commercial activity. [...] Our partnership with a company with the global credentials of Bidvest Foodservice is helping us to achieve those aims," said Gary Hutchinson, commercial director of Sunderland.

The club is a partner of the national tourist office of Tanzania and is linked to Airline South African Airways, as of 05/10/2013.

• Sunderland finished the 2013-14 Premier League season in 14^th place.
