England: Debbie Jevans to join Football League administrative board at end of 2014

Debbie Jevans (England) was named an independent non-executive director to the board of the Football League on 05/06/2014. She will assume her new duties at the end of 2014, said the Football League.

Sky Bet Football League is the body that organises competitions involving English and Welsh teams in the second, third and fourth divisions (Football League Championship, Football League One, Football League Two). It is chaired by Greg Clarke since 2010.

Debbie Jevans has, since 2012, headed up the organising committee of the 2015 Rugby World Cup, which will take place in England and Wales, 18/09 to 31/10/2015. The former professional tennis player is on the board of directors of the All-England Club, which organises the tennis tournament Wimbledon (London). She is also a member of the British Committee for the Development of Sport, which was created by the British Ministry of Sports in November 2013.

  • Shaun Harvey, chief executive of Football League since 07/29/2013, joined the board on 05/06/2014.
