2015-2018 Serie A domestic TV rights: no illegal agreement confirms the Italian Council of State

The Italian Council of State confirmed, on 28/12/2020, the decision of the Regional Administrative Court of Lazio (region of Rome) which annuls the judgement of illegal cartel actions to pay a total of €66m in fines imposed by the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM) to the parties involved -- RTI (subsidiary of Mediaset), Infront Italy, Lega Serie A, and Sky Italia -- about the awarding of the domestic TV rights for the 2015-2018 Serie A cycle, on 23/12/2016.

The AGCM had appealed against this annul decision from the Court of Lazio. The AGCM had previously ruled that the parties were involved in the alleged illegal agreement around the allocation of domestic TV rights for the 2015-2018 Serie A cycle, on 20/04/2016 (see below).
