Ligue 2 BKT: AS Nancy-Lorraine sold to an international consortium, G. Ganaye new president

"It was with a heavy heart and with a lot of heartbreak that I decided to leave the institution. It is a passing of the baton," stated Jacques Rousselot, majority shareholder of AS Nancy-Lorraine (Ligue 2 BKT) at more than 75%, in announcing having sold his club to "an international consortium made up of American investors and two others, one Chinese and the other Indian," on 31/12/2020.

"These new investors have had significant success investing in the football and sports industry. Among them are Chien Lee, Partners Path Capital, Pacific Media Group, Krishen Sud and Gauthier Ganaye," the club said.

"I hope that this buyer will give ASNL the opportunity to return to Ligue 1 and allow it to have more noble ambitions than those I could give it," said Jacques Rousselot.

Gauthier Ganaye succeeds Jacques Rousselot as president of the club with immediate effect. The ex-president of OGC Nice, the 32-year-old leader is also executive president of KV Oostende (BEL): "This does not mean, however, that I resign or that I reduce my functions at KVO," specified Ganaye.
