1,083 is the number of sponsorship agreements in football compiled by News Tank Football between 01/01 and 31/12/2020. These records, based on the official statements of clubs, leagues and advertisers, were mainly focused in the Top 5 European Leagues.

The year 2020 opened with an agreement between the equipment manufacturer adidas and Club Atlético Boca Juniors (Argentina first division) on 01/01/2020. During the year that was hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic, News Tank Football counted 1,088 agreements, compared to 1,150 in 2019, or 5.4% less over 12 months.

607 agreements were made within the European Top 5 leagues in 2020 (versus 609 in 2019):
• 153 partnerships were signed for the Serie A TIM by the clubs and the Lega Serie A (versus 124 in 2019, an increase of +23.3%);
